Who is Pres?

Born in Capitol Hill, Washington, and raised in the greater Seattle area, Pres Carreon, works primarily as a surrealist photographer. Despite receiving a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Washington, Pres returned to school to seek a fulfilling degree in the arts at Shoreline College. Through his time as an art student and gallery intern, Pres discovered his passion for photography and has since continued working with the medium.

As an individual who has struggled with social anxiety, grief, and discrimination, photography became Pres’ way to grab a hold of his prosperity, often likening photography to being a form of therapy. Using his unique life experiences and psychology background, Pres has become a versatile photographer whose work focuses on authenticity and telling uplifting stories. You can often find him seeking to photograph where the people are in order to capture the human condition.

His work is frequently seen on his professional instagram page where he catalogues his photographic projects like chapters in a journal. In addition to his photography page, you can find his documentary work featured in the nonprofit, theatrical school for the youth, Studio East, in Kirkland, Washington. Furthermore, his work has been placed on display several times in the Shoreline College gallery.
